I joined ATA in 2006 as Arabic translator/interpreter, attended and learned a lot from ATA conferences and networking. I obtained my M.Sc. in plant molecular biology from the University of Basel, Switzerland. I live presently between Egypt and California, USA. I got exposed to different languages and cultures.

Presently, I am President and cofounder of Afaf Translations, working as a conference Arabic interpreter, and oversee all medical translation services at Afaf Translations. I speak 5 languages and have a good knowledge of all Arabic dialects.

I worked as marketing director on the board of NCTA (Northern California Translators Association) for two years. I am interested to join EAGLS for Arabic network interpreting in MENA and to learn more about leadership, share and expand skills among translators and companies.
