Lubna Adel is an Assistant Professor of Linguistics and Translation at School of Linguistics and Translation, Department of English, Badr University in Cairo (BUC). She completed a Professional Diploma in Simultaneous Interpreting from The American University in Cairo (AUC). Dr. Adel’s chief research interests include Cognitive Stylistics, Translation Studies, multimodality, and Discourse Analysis. She is also a NileTESOL member, and an affiliate of Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), and Arizona State University. She obtained the Fulbright Award from University of Arkansas, USA, after the completion of the Junior Faculty Development Programme (JFDP) in 2017. She has won a micro-grant from the Institute of International Education (IIE) and the Us Embassy in Cairo to implement a teacher training programme. Besides, she has participated in national and international conferences in Egypt and abroad with relevance to education, linguistics, and translation studies and has publications in these fields. Finally, she is reviewer for refereed articles at MEXTESOL Journal and Horizon Research Publishing.
