Nermine EL SAWY is a freelance translator and proofreader (FR <> AR; EN>AR; EN> FR). Former Vice Dean and Coordinator of International Relations (2016), Associate Professor (2013) in the Faculty of Languages and Translation at the Pharos University of Alexandria where she has been a faculty member since 2006.

Nermine El Sawy’s completed her Ph.D. (2003) and her undergraduate studies in French Language and Literature (1990) at Alexandria University.

Nermine El Sawy’s teaching interests include media, scientific, legal, and international organizations translation. Her research interests lie in the area of discourse analysis and pragmatics.

She is the author of several articles published in Egyptian, regional and international journals. Member of the International Centre for Research. “Centre de Recherche International sur l’Imaginaire” CRI2i. Member of the CESL Center of High Studies in literature- Tours. France

She is currently teaching in Applied Languages at Alexandria University.
